Tri-City's Tim Tarnosky named draft day GM of the year Using the final 2007 Rookie of the Year rankings published by Pro Football Weekly, Tim Tarnosky of the Tri-City Thumpers tops the NQFL in 2007 draft pick production. My rankings were based on a point system dependant on how PFW ranked the various rookies. Rookies of the year received a bonus point. Of course, we all understand it often can take a couple years for most players to develop and it is unfair to judge a draft until probably at least three years after the fact. That being said, just for fun, here's the top 5 NQFL Draft Day GM's for 2007: 1) Tri-City Thumpers (Tim Tarnosky) - 9 pts: Harris, Jackson, Satale, Griffin, and Nelson (negative points for Jackson and Harrell) 2) Winnemucca Outlaws (Pierce Roberts) - 8 pts: Peterson, Hall, and Jones 3) Atlanta Knights (Knox Bardeen) - 7 pts: Revis, Bowe, and Smith 4) Edmonds Evolution (Denny Mattison) - 5 pts: Lynch and Johnson 5) Philadelphia Beagles (Arnold Glaberson) - 5 pts: Thomas and Ross Offensive Rookie of the Year (4 pts): Adrian Peterson, RB - Winnemucca Defensive Rookie of the Year (4 pts): Patrick Willis, LB - Hume Lake Top 10 Rookie of the Year Meter (3 pts each): Patrick Willis, LB - pts already awarded Joe Thomas, OT - Philadelphia David Harris, LB - Tri-City Jonathan Beason, LB - Watertown Adrian Peterson, RB - pts already awarded Darrelle Revis, CB - Atlanta Marshawn Lynch, RB - Edmonds DeWayne Bowe, WR - Atlanta LaRon Landry, S - Mad-Town Leon Hall, CB - Winnemucca Honorable Mention (2 pts each): Trent Edwards, QB - Alpine Amobi Okoye, DT - Fort Knox Tanard Jackson, S - Tri-City Aaron Ross, CB - Philadelphia Samson Satale, C - Tri-City Joe Staley, OT - West Florida Michael Griffin, S - Tri-City Reggie Nelson, S - Tri-City Calvin Johnson, WR - Edmonds Ben Grubbs, G - Austin Best of the Rest (1 pt each): Selvin Young, RB - undrafted Zach Miller, TE - Alpine Aaron Sears, G - West Seattle James Jones, WR - Winnemucca Ed Johnson, DT - undrafted Kolby Smith, RB - Atlanta Nick Folk, K - undrafted Anthony Gonzalez, WR - California Eric Weddle, S - Washington Gaines Adams, DE - Oakley First year Duds (minus 1 pt each): Robert Meachem, WR - Oakley Lawrence Timmons, LB - Austin Brandon Meriweather, S - California Justin Harrell, DT - Tri-City John Beck, QB - Austin Jamaal Anderson, DE - Jersey Craig Davis, WR - MidState DaWayne Jarrett, WR - Hume Lake Brandon Jackson, RB - Tri-City Alan Branch, DT - Watertown |
